Home is where it all begins

  
I am SO eternally grateful that we had your support, knowledge and expertise. I hope you know that what you did for us will never be forgotten (much like the pain of childbirth! heehee). We were very, very fortunate to be surrounded by loving, caring and patient people. I never had to feel like I was being tagged and processed in an assembly line, or that I was an inconvenience and my birth was just another thing to get through until the next woman rolled in the room. I didn't have to spend the first days with my son in a strange place - I still remember the sun shining in my room as we laid together for the first time as a family on our bed, and there he stayed for the next several days. It was absolute bliss and a memory no amount of time passed can diminish. So THANK YOU again, for all that you gave us during the nine months and beyond! I hope...that more women learn to trust themselves and their bodies, and open their eyes to the possibility of natural childbirth.
Jennifer and Lynne are a wonderful team and we were very lucky to have them attend the birth of our daughter. They are really knowledgeable and experienced, and have excellent judgment. They are clearly committed to really taking time with their patients and respecting them as thinking persons capable of making important decisions for themselves (and their babies), while at the same time living up to their responsibility to advise, inform, and assist. If you're looking for care providers who are calm, respectful, rational, open-minded, abreast of the latest scientific research, well-practiced in the art of responding to many and varied situations, and who really know what they are doing, you should consider giving birth at home with Jennifer and Lynne! My husband and I chose A Woman's Place for the home births of both of our children because of their wonderful balance of the midwifery and medical worlds. Jennifer wholeheartedly believes in and supports a woman in giving birth naturally, but has the clinical knowledge and experience necessary should the birth require some sort of medical intervention.
